Hallo Miroslav,
A simple answer form me: YES, THIS IS POSSIBLE! As you know, the Savageīs engine is a slow running single. It is not desingned for being driven constantly at a high RPM level. When I ride my Savage (ī94, 23000 km) on a motorway, my cruising speed is about 100-110 km/h. I think this is enough. In this case the fuel consumption is about 5,9 l/100 km. My bike gets 98 octane fuel ("Super Plus").
Referring to Oil consuption, I recommend the following: Use SAE 10W40 mineral oil. An oil consumption of 750 ml/400 km is quite normal when the bike is driven at such a high speed. Slow running piston engines consume some oil when they are driven at the RPM limit. (The radial engine of the SU-26 aerobatics aircraft burns about 5 litres of oil per hour!) Synthetic oil becomes to thin at high engine temperatures.
So doīnīt be afraid of a damaged engine, just slow down a bit,
greetings,
Jan
